US President Donald Trump will set off on his first foreign tour later this week, visiting major religious capitals in the Middle East and Europe including Riyadh, Jerusalem and the Vatican before flying to Brussels for NATO talks. The trip has been talked up as “historic” by the President’s Security Advisor HR McMaster, but how will Trump negotiate the delicate diplomatic challenges and long-standing tensions in the region?
