Understanding Anorexia: Scientific Breakthrough Links Disorder to Genes

Anorexia has the highest death rate of all mental illnesses which is why understanding the disorder has been an important struggle over the years. But now, Australian scientists have been involved in a breakthrough. Specific genes and metabolism has been linked to increasing the chances of developing the disorder. 

The Daily spoke to Professor Nick Martin, head of QIMR Berghofer Genetic Epidemiology Laboratory, to talk about what this means for our understanding and treatment.
