US Supreme Court Upholds Controversial Muslim Travel Ban

The US Supreme Court overnight voted to uphold President Trump’s controversial travel ban targeting Muslim countries. The ban was upheld by 5 votes to 4 with the court deciding that the ban does not violate immigration law or the US constitution. Currently, the travel ban restricts people travelling from Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria and Yemen. The Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the ban means that there is a potential for Trump to restrict travel from even more nations.
