UTS backflips on massive course cuts

Teaching and international studies degrees have been retained by University of Technology Sydney management in a surprise backflip on course cuts.
Earlier this year, the University of Technology Sydney announced they would shut down their school of education, international studies and public health, along with scrapping over 10% of academic jobs. But all that changed recently when the uni made a massive backflip on these plans – deciding to keep teaching and international studies degrees.
Monday Daily’s William Prott spoke with Dr Don Carter, Discipline Head of Initial Teacher Education at UTS, to find out more about the University’s course cut reversal.
