UTS Great Debate Features High-Profile Indigenous Speakers

Drinks, canapes and a lively debate from a series of high-profile Indigenous speakers – what more could you want from a wintery Tuesday night? The debate will be hosted by the UTS Centre for the Advancement of Indigenous Knowledges, with teams duking it out over the topic “Love is All We Need… Or Is It?”.

The teams will be led by UTS’s own Heidi Norman and Sandra Phillips and feature the hilarious Stephen Oliver from ABC Black Comedy, Sydney Festival Director Wesley Enoch, thought leader Chelsea Bond, last year’s Deadly Funny Champion Leon Filewood, artist Shannon Foster and Harvard Fulbright scholar Alison Whittaker.

Tickets are $10 and all proceeds will help train local people to deliver adult literacy classes through the Literacy for Life foundation.

The event kicks off 5.30pm with canapes and drinks before the debate commences at 6.15pm.
