Vitamins Herbs and Four Corners

On February 13 Four Corners aired “Swallowing It”, an investigation into the rising use of vitamins and supplements by Australian consumers. The program re-ignited debate between traditional and non-traditional medical practitioners, about the effectiveness of these forms of treatment. Jess Smalley spoke one of The Daily¹s producers, Liane Colwell, a Gastronomer, nutrition commentator, and long-time student of botanical medicine. Her interest are in the politics of the business of producing and consuming vitamins, herbs and supplements.
