Waste Management at a Local Festival

Winter Magic Festival is a local event in the Blue Mountains to celebrate the Winter Solstice, with thousands of people lining Katoomba Street, with dahl in one hand and chai in the other. 

But what happens to their disposable plates and takeaway cups when the party’s over?

Festival Waste Coordinator Brent Hoare spoke with Breakfast producer Josh Green about what the festival is doing to minimise waste.
