What is Blockchain?

Blockchain refers to a new ‘digital platform’ that is beginning to be utilised by suppliers, consumers and even competitors. It is a service that goes beyond financial services and transactions. As it is defined, it is essentially a “peer-owned” and “Peer-run” marketplace that is delineated from the governance and is verified through a complex process by Blockchain headquarters. Associate Professor Hussein Dia, from Swinburrne University of Technology, joined us to explain a bit more.
