When Recycling Became Your Responsibility, Not Theirs

You’ve probably heard the message: recycle more, waste less, do your part. It’s been repeated in ads, campaigns, and classrooms for decades. But that message wasn’t always about solving the problem. The idea that waste is a personal responsibility, something we each control, has a longer, more political history and now, that narrative may be starting to shift.
