Who decides? The push to lower Australia’s voting age

The voting age in Australia is currently 18 years, but the Greens Party recently put forth a bill that would lower the voting age to 16, letting young people have their say in election time.

Dr Faith Gordon, Associate Professor in Law and Deputy Associate Dean of Research at the ANU College of Law, is an expert in youth justice, media representation, children’s rights, criminal law, digital technologies, and media regulation. Faith joined 2SER Breakfast to share her thoughts on the bill and the future of Australian democracy.
