Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US House of Representatives speaker Nancy Pelosi met in secret in Kyiv over the weekend, a week after Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Secretary of State Anthony Blinken reinforced the US’ support of the Ukrainian army after Biden asked congress to add another $33 billion for their aid.
