Why is the King of Bhutan Visiting Australia?

The King of Bhutan is coming to visit Australia from the 10th to the 16th of October. We talk to Tashi Dema about why this is important, as well as other topics surrounding Bhutan such as its prioritisation of Gross National Happiness (GNP) and its peoples secret to happiness.

Tashi Dema is a Bhutanese PhD Candidate in Language and Politics at the University of New England who was a journalist for 17 years before comencing her studies. During this time she experienced Bhutan become a democracy first hand and gives us a first person view on the event and more.
