Working from home is changing the transport system: research

During the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, most workers were forced to work from home because of lockdowns and restrictions.

But now, even with most restrictions lifted, some workers are still working from home, and the number will increase, according to a research released this week.

Working from home has also saved around $5.5 billion in transportation saving costs to workers so far. In order to have work at home requirements, there are some recommendations to keep the trend up, such as better digital infrastructure and the metrics on how productivity should be measured.
