World Social Media Day: Celebrating the Digital Age

Friday 30th June marked a very special day in the world of the digital age as we celebrate World Social Media Day. The day aimed at recognising social media’s impact to global communication and connecting culture, movement and super-fandom. With the first recognisable social media site emerging 20 years ago, the sensation of social media had become more popular than ever. The Daily was joined by Professor Axel Bruns , ARC Future Fellow at Queensland University Technology to discuss the importance of social media.
