Young Carers During Covid-19

Navigating remote learning and life in general is pretty hard for young people at the moment. What if you added being a carer to that? Young carers are navigating the ever changing covid-19 health advice and laws, taking on extra caring responsibilities and the other multitude of challenges during a pandemic. It’s estimated there are over 79,000 carers that are younger than 25 years of age in NSW. This National Carers Week, we talked about the impact of COVID-19 on young carers with the CEO of Carers NSW Elena Katrakis.
