Hear Me Out: Designing Al legal tools to bridge the gap

Ever experienced an injustice in your life and not known where to go for help?

 

There are over 300 complaints bodies in Australia and finding the appropriate one can be a challenge. To help people find the best legal support The National Justice Project, The UNSW Kaldor Centre and Portable teamed up to create the Hear Me Out Project, an AI legal chatbot providing initial legal guidance for people in New South Wales and Victoria.

Luke Thomas, Principal Product Specialist at Portable joined Wednesday Drive to talk about the intricacies of designing a legal AI tool.
