Blak Caucus’ Lizzie Jarrett on Invasion Day 2026

In the lead up to the Invasion Day Rally for 2026, Monday Daily’s Lorna MacRitchie chatted to Lizzie Jarrett from Blak Caucus (the organisers of the Sydney rally) and Paddy Gibson, a staunch non-indigenous activist and academic researcher from UTS’ Jumbunna Institute.

We discussed the record high deaths in custody, police surveillance of indigenous people in NT and NSW and the ever stronger calls for justice and liberation by a mass movement who support indigenous rights, as the rally’s attendance grows every year.
